Roberto Cerruti took these pictures of my study using his
Nikon D70 digital camera. In this one I may look like a crazy professor, but I can assure
you that I'm definitely not a professor.
Then he took a number of other pictures pointing at different
directions from the same spot, threw them into a stitching program and
ended up with something like this (taken from his notes):
After a really long work of perspective correction and details
adjustment, the final result was a panoramic 11293x5503 (!) picture
featuring a 'spaceship effect'; here it is (at greatly reduced
resolution, of
course). This time some perspective trick makes me look like a space
alien, while in fact I am beyond doubt a native (of where, I won't say).
To appreciate the incredible resolution of the unscaled picture, here
is a little game: try to locate the details shown below (taken 1:1 from
the
original) inside the picture above! Some are easy to find, some aren't.
